Rubirizi, Uganda – The Rubirizi Women Creative Bee Initiative recently conducted a training session aimed at improving women’s livelihoods and household income management. Chairperson Madam Mukundane Scovia emphasized the importance of equipping women with practical skills to support their families sustainably.
Beneficiaries Madam Betty Karema and Tushabe Peruth expressed gratitude for the training, saying it will help them manage their families, improve hygiene, and support their children’s growth. They also learned about family planning, good parenting, and communication skills.
The training is part of Teen Star Uganda’s efforts to empower teenagers, particularly girls, to reach their full potential. Trainer Madam Elsa Shagerl highlighted the objectives, including promoting girls’ education, sensitizing parents on the importance of educating girls, and providing sanitary materials and menstrual health education.

The initiative also focuses on building teens’ confidence, self-esteem, and leadership skills, and creating a supportive environment for girls’ empowerment.
