BUSHENYI – A woman has been struck dead by lightening in Kimuri cell, Kimuri ward, Bitooma Town Council in Bushenyi district.
The incident happened on Wednesday 16th October 2024 at around 3:30pm during a heavy hailstorm that even destroyed some property and gardens.
The deceased is Kyorimpa Beatrice and our reporter learnt that pupils of St Francis and Bubaare Primary Schools also survived narrowly being struck by lightening.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirmed this incident stressing that district authorities were also informed and assessment of the damages is underway.
