Hon. Nnamara Annet Oyes Byamukama emphasizes that BCTI has been playing a crucial role in transforming Buhweju through its three pillars, using personal funds and membership fees. Under her guidance as Chairperson Gender Affairs, BCTI has built a Shs.50m girls’ dorm at Butare SS, organized the BCTI League to promote sports as an enterprise, and improved football pitches across the district.
The organization has also bought sports uniforms branded BCTI League, supported artists to go back to school, and built the entertainment economy.
Additionally, BCTI has supported pregnant women with Maama Kits, distributed 5000Kg of maize to locals, and donated a piggery project worth Shs.40 million to BCTI groups. The organization has organized sensitization workshops in KARUNGU and Bihanga, assisted BCTI groups to open accounts in SACCOs, and formed about 150 BCTI groups. BCTI has attracted investors, including a tea factory in Kashenyi, and registered Voice of Buhweju Ltd, building its offices and mobilizing inputs such as coffee seedlings and herbicides.

The organization has started Hass Avocado enterprise in Buhweju, secured scholarships for bright students, sportsmen, and artists, and supported churches and schools. BCTI has built the Caravan Lounge to encourage investment, supported the elderly and sick people, and acted as the voice of BUHWEJU to bring the President back.
The organization has established a model farm in Rwengwe Subcounty, trained referees, and promoted talent development. BCTI has also promoted women in football and started the Go Back to Buhweju initiative, which involves sending university students to visit schools in Buhweju and talk to candidate classes, improving performance in Buhweju schools.
Hon. Byamukama plans to expand BCTI, ensuring each village has a group, and will pay for their membership once elected MP. She will educate them on tapping into government initiatives and is set to handover the strategy to President Museveni on November 29th, as a sign of promoting one of the pillars of NRM on socioeconomic transformation. The strategy shows how Buhweju can create about 20,000 jobs for the youth, raise tea prices and productivity, and increase household incomes.
