KAMPALA, UGANDA – Uganda Airlines has signed a new interline agreement with Airlink, Southern Africa’s leading private carrier, expanding travel options for passengers across the region. The partnership links Uganda Airlines’ network with Airlink’s extensive Southern African routes via Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo International Airport.
Travelers can now book single tickets from Entebbe to multiple destinations, with through-check-in for passengers and baggage, eliminating the need for separate bookings or re-checking in Johannesburg.
Uganda Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Adedayo Olawuyi said the partnership is a significant step in making intra-African travel easier, providing customers with convenience and choice. Airlink Chief Commercial Officer Katherine Whelan said the deal strengthens the South African carrier’s continent-wide reach, connecting Africa and providing efficient access to Southern Africa’s key economic and tourism centers.

The agreement is expected to support expanded network access for passengers heading to destinations such as Cape Town, Durban, Victoria Falls, Windhoek, and Gaborone, driving trade and tourism.
