KABALE, UGANDA – A fatal road accident occurred on December 4, 2025, at around 7:30 PM at Kyanamira along the Kabale-Mbarara highway, claiming the lives of two people.
The vehicles involved were a FAW truck (KDN 874C) driven by Munyike Benja Kalinga, a Kenyan national, and a Toyota Spacio (UAY 191D) driven by an unknown driver.
The accident happened when the FAW truck, traveling from Mbarara towards Kabale, knocked the Toyota Spacio and lost control, overturning several times.
The driver of the FAW truck and a male passenger died on the spot. The bodies were taken to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem.
Police are investigating, and the primary cause of the accident is believed to be careless driving by the FAW truck driver.
