KAMPALA – Lieutenant Fredrick Ssenoga, a serving UPDF soldier and staunch NRM supporter, is currently shedding tears and in deep distress after a bank put his hotel up for sale over failure to clear an outstanding loan balance.
While speaking through tears, Lt. Ssenoga explained that during the recent presidential campaigns, he acquired a loan from the bank after being told that NRM delegates and supporters would use his hotel throughout the campaign period.
Acting on that assurance, he invested heavily to upgrade and renovate the hotel to meet the expected high demand.

However, as fate would have it, the hotel was never used. According to Ssenoga, those who were in charge of organizing accommodation for campaigns discovered he would not give them kickbacks if his hotel was recommended, and therefore sidelined his facility — even after he had spent a huge sum of money on upgrading it.
Following the financial losses and inability to service the loan, the bank has now moved to sell the hotel to recover its money.
Lt. Ssenoga is now crying out to President Museveni through the media for help, pleading for intervention to save his hotel and other properties from being taken over by bank loan officers.
He says he has tried to meet the President in person to explain his plight but has been blocked by mafias around the system, despite being a soldier who has served the country.
> “I served this country, I supported the party, but now I am being left to lose everything because I refused to pay kickbacks,” Ssenoga said in tears.
The distraught soldier is appealing for justice and urgent intervention before he loses his lifetime investment.
