The 2nd AMDA Caravan Run has brought together members of the community, families, children, runners, walkers, well-wishers and other supporters in a show of unity and commitment to a common cause.
The event, which combined physical fitness, wellness and community mobilisation, attracted participants who came together to raise awareness and support preparations for the forthcoming AMDA Caravan scheduled to take place at Nyabwina Parish from September 4 to 6, 2026.
Speaking after the successful run, Hon. Nnamara Annet OYES Byamukama, Woman Member of Parliament for Buhweju District, expressed her sincere appreciation to everyone who participated in and supported the initiative.

Hon. OYES Byamukama said she was honoured to join the community during the run, describing the strong participation as a demonstration of what can be achieved when members of society work together toward a shared objective.
She commended the AMDA Sports Council, the organising team, sponsors, partners, volunteers and every participant for their contribution to the success of the second edition of the AMDA Caravan Run.
According to the legislator, the event was more than simply a sporting activity. It provided an opportunity for the community to promote healthy living while simultaneously mobilising awareness, participation and resources for the upcoming AMDA Caravan.
She noted that the enthusiasm demonstrated during the run should be carried forward to the main Caravan, which is expected to bring together AMDA members, leaders, friends, supporters and other members of the community at Nyabwina Parish.
Hon. OYES Byamukama has therefore called upon the wider community to turn up in large numbers for the AMDA Caravan from September 4 to 6, 2026, urging participants to actively engage with the activities and support the cause.
She emphasised that the success of the Caravan will depend largely on collective participation and community support, encouraging everyone to contribute in whatever way possible.
The Woman MP further described the strong turnout for the run as a reflection of the strength and solidarity of the community, saying that collective action can create greater opportunities to address community needs and support important initiatives.
She thanked all those who dedicated their time, resources and energy to the run, while encouraging them to maintain the same spirit of unity as the community prepares for the three-day Caravan at Nyabwina Parish.
“Together, we can do more for our communities,” Hon. OYES Byamukama said, calling on AMDA members, leaders, friends, well-wishers and the entire community to make the September Caravan a great success.
The successful completion of the 2nd AMDA Caravan Run has consequently set the stage for the next phase of mobilisation, with organisers and community leaders expected to continue encouraging participation ahead of the September 4–6 AMDA Caravan at Nyabwina Parish.
