BUSHENYI – A 24 year Old woman has ended his life by taking poison after suspecting that his Fiance was having other lovers.
The deceased is Tunyumize Janet a slot Machine attendant, resident of Kibira in Mitooma district who died at Bushenyi Medical Centre where she was receiving medical treatment after she had allegedly taken poison.
The reporter of the case who is the alleged lover to the deceased is No. 69283 Pc. Ssenge William who is a police officer attached to Bushenyi Police Station resident of Kitookye Cell, Central Ward, Central Division, Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality in Bushenyi District.
It’s alleged that the deceased arrived at his lover’s place on 24th January 2024 and spent a night there but they later developed misunderstandings as the deceased suspected the boyfriend to be in love with other girls. She moved out and went to Bushenyi town.
She returned and entered the house, leaving his Boy Friend outside but shortly the boyfriend who is the reporter of the case followed and found the girl unconscious because she had vomitted a very smelly vomitus whose scent seemed to be poison. He immediately rushed her to Bushenyi Medical Centre BMC where she later died from.
Inquiries were opened vide DEF: 002/2025, a team of detectives and Soco responded to the incident, statements were recorded from witnesses and the body was conveyed to KIU Teaching Hospital Ishaka for postmortem.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirmed the incident stressing that inquiries at hand are conducting postmortem and recovering body samples for analysis and taking collected samples for analysis.
