BUSHENYI – Valley University Of Science and Technology on Saturday 25th January 2024 held it’s 5th Graduation Ceremony in Bwatogo Cell, Central Division, Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality in Bushenyi District.
The Graduation Ceremony of at least 857 graduates including 325 males and 472 females was presided over by one of Uganda’s Prominent Tycoon Mr James Musinguzi Garuga. 325 were awarded bachelors degrees while 532 were awarded diplomas.
Valley University Of Science and Technology (VUST) was established a well known Strongman and the former Bushenyi District Chairperson Mr William Mukaira in 2016.
The Chief Guest was His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who was represented by Uganda’s Prime Minister Rt Hon Robinah Nabanja who also delivered his message . The President contributed shs 30M and Rt Hon Robinah Nabanja contributed shs 10M respectively towards the graduation ceremony.
In his message read by Rt Hon Robinah Nabanja, President Museveni warned graduates against evil deeds such as drug abuse, sexual abuse and alcoholism if they want to have brighter futures.
President Museveni advised Education institutions including Schools and Universities to always provide career guidance to learners especially when they are selecting the courses or subjects since they are influencial in relevancy to job market.
The University Chairperson Professor William Kyamuhangire urged the graduates to transform their communities by identifying challenges and opportunities, then use their education to bring change.
