Securing Shs 50 million for a girls’ dormitory at Butare SS demonstrates your dedication to education. The mega piggery project and Hass Avocado farming initiatives are diversifying our economy.
Programs like “Go Back 2 Buhweju” and the “Buhweju Caravan Youth Foundation” empower our youth, while your support for churches, mosques, and the sick enriches our social fabric.
Your vision extends to long-term sustainable growth. The Kashenyi Tea Company Limited factory, built on your land, promises significant economic benefits, employing 250 people directly and 1,000 indirectly. It has already increased green leaf prices from Shs 450 to Shs 500 per kg.
Your commitment to providing farmer training and establishing tea plantations creates jobs, particularly for women. Investing in sports infrastructure, such as improving football pitches and promoting the BCTI league, empowers our youth.
