Bushenyi, Uganda – Hajji Iddi Basajjabalaba’s aggressive house-to-house campaigning strategy appears to be resonating strongly with voters in the Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality constituency.
Early indications suggest a landslide victory is within reach for the candidate, who is facing off against former candidate Counsel Marvin Baryaruha in the upcoming NRM Primary Parliamentary elections scheduled for July 16, 2025.
Voters in Ishaka Division are reportedly overwhelmingly supporting Hajji Basajjabalaba, with local leaders predicting a victory exceeding 95%.

Chairman LC3 Mukyenga Deus and Kafureeka Silagi, chairperson of Town Ward, attest to the widespread enthusiasm, noting that the campaign team has traversed the division, engaging residents in Ward 4, Kashenyi, Buramba, and throughout the Town Ward.
The campaign has also extended its reach to Central Division, encompassing areas like Ruharo, Bunyarigi, Central Ward, and Ryamengwa.
Further demonstrating their commitment to voter engagement, the team recently visited residents in Nyakabirizi Division’s Ntungamo ward, including Rwamukooto, Nshenga, Ntungamo, and Rwakahuka cells.

Throughout these interactions, Hajji Basajjabalaba consistently stressed the importance of maintaining peace and harmony during the election period.
This focus on community engagement and a message of unity appears to be a key factor in building support for his campaign.
End.
