Bushenyi, Uganda, -President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is currently in Greater Ankole, monitoring the progress of the Parish Development Model (PDM).
Leaders and NRM representatives are gathered at Bushenyi Main Stadium in Bushenyi town, Bushenyi District, awaiting the President’s arrival.
They are holding an exclusive discussion on wealth creation in Ankole and the performance of PDM in the area.
Greater Ankole comprises 13 districts, including Isingiro, Ntungamo, Ibanda, Kazo, Kiruhura, Mbarara, Rwampara, Mitooma, Buhweju, Sheema, Bushenyi, and Rubirizi, as well as Mbarara City, with at least 860 parishes.
The Greater Ankole Sub-Region has successfully implemented the PDM, with 837 PDM Saccos out of 860 parishes receiving funding totaling UGX 1,814,127,065,633.
The disbursement rate stands at 99.9%, with 141,194 beneficaries.
