Bushenyi,Uganda – The Bushenyi District Council will convene on Wednesday, 7th May 2026, to consider and approve the District Budget for Financial Year 2026/2027, in what will be the final sitting of the 2021–2026 political term.
The session will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the District Council Hall at the Bushenyi District Headquarters, and members of the public are invited to attend and follow the proceedings from the gallery.
In a public notice issued today, District Speaker Mucunguzi Douglas said the meeting marks the end of the current council’s five-year mandate. “On behalf of the Bushenyi District Local Government Council, I extend sincere gratitude to the public for the support rendered to the District throughout our term of office,” he said.
The FY 2026/2027 budget is expected to outline key priorities for service delivery, infrastructure, and development programs across the district for the coming year.
Speaker Mucunguzi encouraged residents to attend the session to witness the deliberations as the council closes its term and sets the financial framework for the next administration.
