The incident occurred on November 13, 2025, at around 4 pm when the suspect, Boaz Tuhirirwe, attacked his wife, Atuhire Allen, at their home in Nyakasa cell, Bucundura parish.
The baby, Ainomigisha Obvious, was tied to her mother’s back and was hit on the face with a stick, killing her instantly. The suspect, a lumberer, had returned home after a three-month absence and allegedly assaulted his wife.
The police have visited the scene, recorded statements from witnesses, and are making efforts to apprehend the suspect. The body is yet to be taken for a postmortem examination, and investigations are ongoing to establish the reason for the assault.
