BUSHENYI, UGANDA – Namara Caroline, a woman MP candidate for Bushenyi District, has strongly condemned politicians who engage in vote buying.

After being officially nominated as an independent candidate by Bushenyi Electoral District Registrar Gaston Muhangi on Thursday, October 23, 2025, Namara expressed her determination to serve the people.
“Politicians who buy votes are buying your future and taking it into their hands,” Namara warned. She urged voters to choose leaders who understand their daily struggles and are committed to improving their standards of living.

Namara, who has experience in media and civil society, vowed to be a role model and use her skills to serve the people. She faces stiff competition from incumbent NRM’s Hon. Kansiime Annet Mugisha and independent candidate Kemigisha Vianah.
