RUKIGA, UGANDA – According to police, Tamukunzi was last seen at a local bar on the night of October 14, 2025, before his body was found the following morning.
The police were informed by Denis Muyambi, the area chairperson, and they quickly visited and documented the scene. The body was taken to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital for a postmortem examination to determine the cause of death.
ASP Elly Maate, the Kigezi Region Police spokesperson, has urged anyone with information to come forward as investigations continue into Tamukunzi’s death.
This incident comes amid other recent tragic events in Rukiga, including the murder of businesswoman Kanshabe Evelyn Shamira Kyarenga and Ruth Nuwabine’s strangulation case
