RUBANDA, UGANDA – The territorial police in Rubanda are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 41-year-old Deusi Tukacungurwa, who was allegedly murdered by his 16-year-old biological daughter, Orikiriza Sarah. Both residents of Mungaara cell, Kyenyi parish, Muko sub-county, Rubanda District.
According to reports, on September 16, 2025, at around 6:00 am, Tumuheise Mary, the wife of the deceased, left home to dig, leaving her husband sleeping with their other children. When she returned at 8:30 pm, she found her husband lying in a pool of blood, and the children were not at home. Neighbors were called, and they confirmed his death.
Further investigation revealed that the deceased had killed a rabbit belonging to Orikiriza Sarah, which allegedly sparked the violent incident. The couple’s 7-year-old daughter, Miracle Trust, witnessed the incident and reported that Orikiriza Sarah had used a panga to attack her father.
The police were informed, and the scene was processed and documented. Relevant statements were recorded from witnesses, and the exhibit of the panga was recovered. A postmortem was conducted, and efforts are being made to apprehend the suspect.
