Uganda Airlines has partnered with Air India to strengthen travel links between Africa and the Indian subcontinent. The interline agreement, effective August 25, allows passengers to book single tickets from Entebbe International Airport to over 25 cities in India and key international hubs via Air India’s Mumbai gateway.
This collaboration expands Uganda Airlines’ international reach, offering destinations like London, Singapore, Bangkok, Dhaka, and Colombo. According to Jenifer Bamuturaki, CEO of Uganda Airlines, “This interline agreement is a significant step in our strategy to connect Uganda to Africa and beyond. It provides our customers with a smooth, single-ticket travel experience to dozens of new destinations, strengthening economic and cultural ties between our regions.”
The partnership is expected to enhance tourism, trade, and cultural exchange between Africa and India, ultimately broadening Uganda Airlines’ global footprint. With this agreement, Uganda Airlines continues to grow its network, currently operating routes within Africa, to India, and the United Arab Emirates, with plans to expand to China.
