NTUNGAMO,UGANDA – TV West news anchor Elias Rutugusa has kicked off a district-wide football revolution in Ntungamo with a visit to the Modern Institute of Business and Vocational Studies.
During the visit, Rutugusa donated a volleyball to the institute and encouraged students to embrace discipline, hard work and active participation in sports.
He said sports are key to personal development, health and career growth.

Rutugusa revealed an ambitious plan to move from school to school and institution to institution across Ntungamo, donating balls to promote and revive grassroots sports.
He said the initiative is two-fold – to support schools and to scout talented players who will be given a chance to play for his team, Kajara United FC, as part of efforts to rebuild the club.
He urged students to balance academics with co-curricular activities and pledged to maintain close contact with them to offer guidance and mentorship.
The Principal of Modern Institute, Madam Penninah Taremwa, applauded Rutugusa for his generosity, humility and love for the institution. She commended him for supporting talent development and appealed to him to continue mentoring the students.
Rutugusa also cautioned the youth about rising HIV/AIDS cases in Ntungamo District, urging them to make responsible choices and prioritize their health.
