RUBIRIZI, UGANDA – A dedication mass was held at St. Thomas Vocational Secondary School in Bururuma, Rutoto Subcounty, Rubirizi district, for S.4 and S.6 candidates. The event, led by the school’s headteacher, Rev. Father Charles Niwagaba, aimed to spiritually prepare the students for their upcoming exams. A total of 466 S.4 and 92 S.6 candidates were dedicated to God during the mass.
Rev. Father Charles Niwagaba emphasized the importance of fear of God, academic excellence, discipline, and smartness. He reminded the candidates to keep the culture of the school and follow the four core values if they want to achieve their goals and be successful. Rev. Father quoted, “What can break poverty and hunger in a community is education.”
The main celebrant, Rev. Father Mucunguzi Vincent, advised students to set targets, stay focused, trust in God, be confident, cooperative, and humble as they prepare for their exams. He also asked them to have a strategy, avoid simple mistakes, and be relaxed. Rev. Mucunguzi Vincent urged parents to keep their children in prayers, noting that haters are often waiting for candidates to fail.

The dedicated candidates, including Natukunda Vivian, Kyosimire Nazifa, and Kobusingye Mary, expressed gratitude to the school administration and parents for their support. They promised to excel in their exams and make the most of the knowledge and spiritual guidance provided, affirming that they are well-prepared for revision and research, ready to do wonders and miracles. They thanked their parents for paying school fees, which they believed would help them easily pass the exams.
