BUSHENYI, UGANDA — Candidates of St. Kaggwa Bushenyi High School have demonstrated compassion and community service after visiting Bushenyi Primary School Ruhandagazi Centre for Learners with Disabilities, where they donated a range of essential items.
The visit, marked by joy and a spirit of giving, saw the candidates interact with the learners and share messages of hope and love.
The donation included scholastic materials, sanitary pads, toilet paper and other essential supplies, providing much-needed support to the centre.

The initiative was warmly welcomed by the school administration, staff and learners, who expressed appreciation for the candidates’ generosity and commitment to improving the lives of children with disabilities.
Speaking during the occasion, the Head Teacher of Bushenyi Primary School Ruhandagazi Centre, Ms. Arinaitwe Silvia, thanked the candidates for remembering and supporting the learners.
She described the gesture as more than just a donation, saying it had given the learners renewed hope and reminded them that they are valued members of the community.
The school’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Bainomugisha Godfrey, also appreciated the candidates for their thoughtful initiative, noting that acts of kindness such as these leave a lasting impact.
“When we give, we do more than provide material support; we give hope, dignity and a reason for someone to believe in a brighter tomorrow,” he said.
The visit served as an important reminder that education and community development go beyond classroom walls. By reaching out to learners with disabilities, the candidates showed that young people can play a vital role in promoting inclusion, compassion and social responsibility.
For the learners at Ruhandagazi Centre, the day was not simply about receiving scholastic materials and essential supplies. It was a day of smiles, encouragement and renewed confidence — a reminder that someone cares and believes in their potential.
The Bushenyi Primary School Ruhandagazi community extended sincere appreciation to the candidates and staff of St. Kaggwa Bushenyi High School for the generous gesture and for choosing to spread hope where it is most needed, and called upon more individuals, schools and organisations to support learners with disabilities to create an inclusive environment where every child has an opportunity to learn, grow and dream.
