NTUNGAMO,UGANDA – Senior Presidential Advisor and Chairperson of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Exports and Industrial Development (PACEID), Odrek Rwabwoogo, has urged fresh graduates to continue upgrading their qualifications to secure a brighter future.
Rwabwoogo made the remarks while officiating as chief guest at the 4th graduation ceremony of Ruhaama Trinity Technical Institute-Nyarutuntu, where 316 students received certificates and diplomas in various technical and vocational disciplines. His speech was read for him by Peace Musiime, Chairperson of the Ntungamo District Council Women’s League and Chairperson of the institute’s Board of Governors.

“In today’s competitive job market, possessing only a certificate or diploma is no longer sufficient,” Rwabwoogo said. He encouraged graduates to pursue higher levels of education and continuously improve their skills.

He commended Lasto Mutanyomwa-Kaheru, the initiator of Ruhaama Trinity Technical Institute-Nyarutuntu, for the institute’s contribution to skills development and youth empowerment. He noted that technical and vocational training plays a vital role in Uganda’s industrialization and economic transformation.
As Board Chairperson, Musiime pledged continued support for the institution’s progress. She advised graduates to become job creators rather than job seekers, saying they have received enough hands-on training to start their own ventures.
The ceremony attracted parents, local leaders, education stakeholders, and well-wishers, including Nyarutuntu Sub-county District Councillor Isaac Muzoora Kontabure and Hilda Turyahikayo Rwamashongye, former Chairperson of the Ntungamo District Service Commission. Both congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to apply their skills productively in their communities.
