Rubirizi, Uganda – Rubirizi District Muslims have been challenged to maintain the unity, discipline, and hard work demonstrated during Ramadan and to actively participate in the development of their community.
This call was made by Sheikh Usama Sufiani, Imam of the Rugyenda Main Mosque in Ndekye town, Rubirizi District.
Sheikh Usama urged Muslims to engage in active politics and government programs to uplift their families and combat poverty. He emphasized the importance of community involvement.

Mr. Al-Hamedi Hassan, the Vice Chairman of the Rugyenda Muslim community, echoed these sentiments, urging attendees to maintain their prayers, work diligently, and shun negative peer influence, particularly among youth.
He encouraged continued ethical behavior, mutual respect, discipline, family development, and the education of children. He stressed the importance of collective action across all aspects of life—development, politics, social life, and economics.
Meanwhile, Hon. Haji Abib Kaparaga, the Rubirizi Town Council District Councilor, congratulated the Muslim community on completing Ramadan.
He offered prayers for the acceptance of their fast and highlighted the positive impact of Ramadan on togetherness, forgiveness, love, discipline, cooperation, sharing, poverty reduction, and mutual respect.
