BUSHENYI – Learners have been advised to concertrate on reading their books during holidays instead of spending their time in earthly enjoyments.
This message comes shortly after pupils and students finished their second term for this academic year and are preparing for the last term which will start in Mid September.
Our reporter spoke to Madam Nakalanzi Zamura Headteacher Basajjabalaba Secondary School Ishaka who accepted that most learners tend to relax and forget about revising their books when they break off for holidays.
Nakalanzi observed that parents have a big role to play and make sure they make their children concertrate on reading books but not making them loaded with alot of work and letting them spend their time in useless activities like peer movements, alcohol taking among others.
“You take an example of Candidates, its their last and final touch so if they go home and relax they end up failing at the last hour, thats why i request parents to help us and keep them busy in books”, She said.
The Deputy Headteacher Basajjabalaba Secondary Secondary Madam Nashimu thanked parents for supporting learners with scholastic materials and challenged them to keep taking education as the first key to success in their respective families.
END.
