Ntungamo, Uganda – The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) will hold an anti-corruption baraza in Ntungamo District on 17th October as the organisation steps up its grassroots mobilisation and campaign on accountability.
The baraza will be held at Rubare Playground and will also serve as an endorsement event, according to PLU General Secretary, Fadil Twalla.
Twalla called on residents of Ntungamo, people from across Western Uganda and PLU supporters from across the country to attend the gathering, saying the organisation plans to mobilize a large team for the event.

He said the event will also provide an opportunity for PLU to offer community services, including medical and legal assistance.
According to Twalla, a medical team will be deployed to interact with residents and provide assistance, while lawyers who have volunteered through PLU will offer free legal support to members of the public.
The Ntungamo baraza comes as PLU expands its grassroots activities across the country, combining political mobilisation with community engagements on issues including accountability, access to services and legal assistance.
The organisation is expected to use the gathering to engage residents on corruption and related concerns while also rallying supporters ahead of its wider political activities.
