Bushenyi,Uganda – The Headteacher of Parental Care Nursery and Primary School Bushenyi says the school is set to shine again in the 2026 Quiz, Debate and Spelling Bee Competitions.
Mr. Desmond Tayebwa revealed this while speaking to our reporter during the opening of the third term on Monday, 14th September 2026, in his office at the school in Bushenyi Town, Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality.
The Headteacher, who is pleased with the school’s previous academic performance, said that besides academics, the school has always performed excellently at both national and African levels in co-curricular activities, and they are set to raise the bar even higher this third term.

He said they have already covered most of the syllabus for P.7 learners who will sit for the final Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) on 3rd and 4th November 2026, adding that they are now focusing on evaluation tests and revision to sharpen the learners, especially the candidates.
Parental Care Nursery and Primary School, with its motto “Your Child Is Your Debt,” is known as one of the best-performing schools in PLE for many consecutive years, registering top grades and aggregates. In Bushenyi District, any discussion about top schools cannot skip its name, as it has consistently maintained excellent performance, making Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality one of the best countrywide.
The school’s vision is “To transform young children into people of influence,” with a mission “To provide equal opportunities to children for quality and lifelong education that prepares useful and responsible citizens.”
By 10:00 a.m., pupils were already in class learning, an indicator of seriousness, as most boarding learners had reported on Sunday, 13th September 2026.
