OPINION – The objective of our leaders should look beyond petty politics to real community solutions If we wish to see a more prosperous African Continent.
We happen to descend from a back ground of Colonialism, slavery and decades of strife and struggles for our “Independent” nations.
We are therefore progeny of broken men and Women that sacrificed theit lives to see a better Africa and against this back drop we are obligated to keep if not double the pace at which our forefathers fought to give us the picture we have today- a people striving to achieve soveriegnity as the rest of the World.

Our challenge now lies in our ability to read through the blurred lines.. to know and understand our history and use that knowledge to shape the future of us and the generations to come.
We come from organised communities that are shaped by need rather than by power. Our ancestral stories do feature ruthless and unkind leaders with sad stories but our major strength exists in the parts of those stories that depict a people that made effort to repair relationships and exploit our differences to benefit the communities mainly through barter trade.
We are therefore not made to flourish in the multi party system of governance . Our current predicament has so much to do with us trying to run our affairs in the system that is foreign to the very fabric of our culture.
The parties of politics are more concerned about taking or keeping power than are concerned about the welfare of the people.
We are faced with Educated Men and Women lacking a heart whose sole goal is to either take or keep power and as such we are unable to progress from a humanity stand point.
This is the time to reflect on our lives and come up with real solutions. Solutions that Unite rather than divide. It is a time that different political parties have things they agree on concerning development .
African can not keep being the example of failure when it comes to working systems that uplift the common people . A Society that does not protect the weak is a rotten Society.
We have our leaders whether in government or not and we must task them to focus on our well being and our community development.
The Voice of Political struggle must not over shadow the Voice of Reason and its time that people embrace development above petty politics.
