KANUNGU, UGANDA – The territorial police in Kanungu are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Ngambeki Spiriano, 51, who died instantly after a domestic fight with his ex-wife, Nzabaruntume Dinavance, 48, at her home in Group Farm B Cell, Kibimbiri parish, Kihihi sub-county, Kanungu district.
The incident occurred on November 18, 2025, at around 2 pm. The couple had separated, and the deceased had remarried and was living in Rukungiri district, while the suspect remained in their marital home with their grandchild.
According to police reports, the deceased had visited his former wife’s home, leading to a serious fight behind their house, resulting in both sustaining injuries. The man died on the spot, and the suspect attempted to flee the scene but was arrested by neighbors and later re-arrested by the police.
The police have launched an investigation, and the suspect is receiving treatment for a head injury sustained during the scuffle.
