KANUNGU – Police in Kanungu district are investigating circumstances under which a 25 year old man idenfied as Augustine Matinisa died after allegedly being assalted.
The deceased a resident of kishojwa cell, Northern Ward, Kanungu Towncouncil was allegedly assaulted by her boss Safina and her workers suspecting him to have stolen some scrap materials and later died at Kambuga Hospital where he had been admitted after his condition worsened.
A report was made at Central Police Station Kanungu by Rose Kyomuhendo a scrap dealer, scene visited and documented though the suspects are still atlarge.
The Kigezi Police Spokesperson Asp Elly Maate confirmed this incident to press stressing that after postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to the relatives for a descent burial.
