BSHENYI – Police in Bushenyi district have detained a boda boda rider identified as Brian Tugumenaine a resident of Kagati cell, Kizinda Towncouncil for allegedly murdering a fellow rider Natumanya Isiah 29 years a resident of Kizinda in Bushenyi district.
Its alleged that on 17th September 2024 at around 10pm the deceased went to Bruce’s bar to watch football and later he was stabbed by the suspect who tried to ran away but was arrested by joined efforts of Security guards of Kings betting Company Kizinda and one Asasira who was with the victim/deceased.
The suspect was taken to Kizinda Police Station for further action and the victim managed to move to a nearby clinic but reffered to Ishaka Adventist hospital where he was admitted and later pronounced dead.
A case of murder was registered vide CRB. 805/2024, Crime scene visited and documented by Soco and a team of detectives who recovered the knife used for stabbing the deceased. The body of the deceased was conveyed back to Ishaka Adventist hospital for ecmxamination on Pf 48A and pf 48B as the relatives had taken it upon death.
Thr Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirmed this incident to press stressing that inquiries into the matter are still at hand.
