Sheema, Uganda – Multiple people have been critically injured in an accident that occurred at Nyakashambya, along the Kihunda-Kabwohe feeder road in Sheema District.
The accident happened on February 21, 2025, at approximately 6:50 pm and involved a motor vehicle, registration number UAL 285W, a Mitsubishi Fuso lorry belonging to M and T Co. Limited, which is contracted by Umeme.
The lorry was transporting workers from Kihunda to Kabwohe when it reached Nyakashambya and failed to negotiate a corner. The driver lost control, and the vehicle overturned, injuring several occupants.
The victims, who were rushed to Kabwohe Health Centre IV for medical attention, are:

Police visited the scene, and the motor vehicle was towed to the police yard pending inspection by the Inspector of Vehicles (IOV) as inquiries continue.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson, SSP Marcial Tumusiime, confirmed the incident stressing that inquiries are still at hand.
