The Katerera County Education Forum (KACEF) is transforming education in Katerera County through its Annual Education Days, a platform that brings together over 50 schools and all education stakeholders to address challenges and celebrate excellence.
The forum established Katerera County Annual Education Days with seven key aims:
1. To Improve Academic Performance: To discuss performance in PLE, UCE and UACE and to reward best-performing schools, teachers and learners as a motivation.

2. To Bring All Stakeholders Together: To create a common platform for parents, teachers, learners, local leaders, the District Education Officer, Members of Parliament, the RDC, foundation bodies and NGOs.
3. To Promote Parental Responsibility: To remind parents of their roles in school fees, feeding, scholastic materials and guidance, and to fight school dropouts, early marriages and child labour.
4. To Promote Education as a Key to Development: To sensitize the community that education is the way out of poverty and to encourage children to stay in school.
5. Career Guidance and Inspiration: To invite successful role models from Katerera to inspire learners and guide S.4 and S.6 leavers on their next steps.
6. To Address Local Education Challenges: To tackle issues such as teacher absenteeism, understaffing, poor infrastructure and teenage pregnancies, and develop action plans.
7. To Promote Skills for Development: To enable schools to showcase skills acquired under the Competence-Based Curriculum (CBC).
