Jubilee Sacco West Ankole Diocese is calling on Rubirizi residents to adopt a saving culture and invest in share capital to boost the sacco’s development. This appeal was made by Mr. Mugisha Ronald, General Manager of Jubilee Sacco West Ankole Diocese, during a regional pre-Annual General Meeting in Katerera, Rubirizi district.
Mr. Mugisha emphasized that saving enables individuals to achieve financial stability, fight poverty, hunger, and domestic violence. He highlighted the sacco’s progress, including a membership of 20,500, total savings of 11 billion, and a loan portfolio of 14.3 billion.
However, the sacco faces challenges such as multi-borrowing, loan defaults, and liquidity issues. Mr. Agaba Agrey, Regional Chairperson, urged members to work together to overcome these challenges.
