RUBIRIZI — Hon. Cadet Benjamin, Member of Parliament for Bunyaruguru County, has revealed that he used Shs 300 million allocated to him as an MP for vehicle purchase to instead procure tents and chairs for his constituents.
He said the decision was made to prioritize service delivery and support for his people over personal benefits.
The items donated include 30 tents and 1,750 chairs distributed to 6 sub-counties in Bunyaruguru Constituency. This is in addition to 300 chairs and 10 tents previously provided under Team Cadet.

Hon. Cadet Benjamin noted that the donation is aimed at helping households save money spent on hiring chairs and tents during functions. The money saved is expected to be invested in village SACCOs and other income-generating ventures.
He added that small interventions can create big impact and revealed that next year the focus will shift to improving the health of residents in the constituency.
One resident, John Nkabyemera, commended the MP for prioritizing community development. He described the action as exemplary and thanked Hon. Cadet Benjamin for his commitment to improving livelihoods in Bunyaruguru.
