SAD NEWS – Police in Sheema district are hunting for assailants who on during the night of 18-19/09/2024 at unknown time murdered Nyehangane Godrey Tabandama 72 years a resident of Nyamiyaga cell, Kakunyu ward, Kabwohe division in Sheema Municipality.
The deceased who is a former teacher was murdered in his own house by suspectedly Kato Stephen 17 years, Magezi Victor 22 years and Turyasingura Stuart 20 years and also robbed off unspecified properties.
The incident was reported to DPC Sheema Asp Kasule Consilata by Tashobya Daniel Kamugisha a male adult through his phone number 0782771625 at around 07:15pm.
A police case file was opened vide sd ref 10/19/09/2024 and later CRB 590/2024, scene visited and the body was taken to Kabwohe Health Center 4 pending postmortem.
The Greater Bushenyi police spokesperson SSP Martial Tumusiime confirmed this incident stressing that canine was introduced to the crime scene and it led to the room of the deceased’s workers mentioned bove as suspects and the canine grabbed one of the workers identified as Magezi Victor 22 years and other workers.
Inquiries to arrest other assailants and recover the stolen property are still at hand.
