Dr. Eng. Silver Mugisha, a patron and mentor to many young people, continues to inspire the youth of Bushenyi with a timeless message of hope: success has no expiry date.
In mentoring Bushenyi’s youth, Dr. Eng. Silver Mugisha reminds them that life is not a race against one another, but a personal journey. At a time when social pressure and constant comparison have pushed many young people into despair, his guidance offers hope and reassurance.
What makes Dr. Eng. Silver Mugisha a wise and respected mentor is that his counsel is rooted in reality. He often points to the example of Nelson Mandela, who spent 27 years in prison before becoming South Africa’s first Black president at the age of 76.
Mandela did not expire in prison. He arrived at the right time for history. His story demonstrates that destiny cannot be rushed and that delay is not denial.

Dr. Eng. Silver Mugisha encourages Bushenyi’s youth to view education as a ladder to future opportunities rather than as a burden. He urges them to discover their talents early and pursue careers that match their strengths.
He also challenges young people to embrace continuous learning, build confidence in communication and ICT, seek mentorship, and reject negative habits that can derail their progress.
He teaches that true patriotism is demonstrated when individuals use their professions to serve Uganda faithfully, reject corruption, create value, and uplift their communities.
At the heart of his mentorship are three core values: discipline, hard work, and integrity.
First is discipline, because talent without discipline can easily fade away. Second is hard work, because there is no shortcut to sustainable success—whether in the garden, in business, in the classroom, or in the office.
Third is integrity, which he describes as the greatest capital a young person can possess. Your name and character, he reminds the youth, can open doors that money cannot.
He also reminds young people that their values, culture, and heritage are sources of pride and identity. A modern young person should be educated, exposed to the wider world, and prepared for the future, but never detached from their roots and their faith in God.
Finally, his strongest call is for unity.
Bushenyi can only achieve meaningful development when its youth are united, love one another, and support each other’s dreams. By embracing discipline, hard work, integrity, education, patriotism, and unity, the youth can become the driving force behind Bushenyi’s transformation.
The message is simple but powerful: your journey is unique, your time will come, and success has no expiry date.
