BUSHENYI, UGANDA – Greater Bushenyi Police are urging residents to partner with them in maintaining security over the Easter holiday.
In a message released on Holy Thursday, April 17th, 2025, Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime emphasized the importance of community vigilance.
To facilitate swift responses, the police have increased manpower in all sub-counties and encouraged residents to obtain contact information for their local Officer-in-Charge.
Increased patrols, both on foot and by vehicle, will be conducted throughout the long weekend.
SSP Tumusiime also advised residents to carry identification, avoid vehicle overloading, and take precautions such as target hardening their homes while attending church services.
The monitoring of livestock was also highlighted as a key security concern.
