BUSHENYI – Everyone asks himself why Bushenyi is a district everyone should watch out for during politics but its unfortunate that they always have many questions with few or no answers.
However, it appears to be a different story in 2026 campaigns as new faces have already shown signs of being the best singers on the stage.
Bushenyi has 3 constituencies; Igara West, Igara East and Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality though this website’s strong eye also penetrates to the top district seat.
All the seats noted are held by strong men but some are being criticized for failing to perform their duties while others are facing stiff competition from people who think they have capacity to do better more than the current holders.
Lets take a look at the new dancers on Stage;
1. Katushemererwe Brenda.
Katushemererwe a born of Ndaragi Kakanju and she eyes Igara West Mp Seat. Interestingly, she is a former presidential aspirant, an educationist, Activistist and media administrator. Her expectations are unlimited due to her experience of working in several districts with several Community Based Organisations among others.
Igara West is very interesting its where there is Anord Musinguzi also a youth who is also ready to race against the rich men who are spreading money in the area like Wildfire.
For this race, we have other new faces to watch like Counsel Amanya Cohen Kyampene, Tugume Bonifance, Aggrey Yeyambe among others.
2. Kemigisha Vianah Kashaya
This is another woman every voter should watch because she has hit ground with special strategies. Vianah though not known by many has already made many voters beleive that she can also elevate Bushenyi district to another level.
The seat She wants is currently held by NWSC Executive Director’s wife Hon Kansiime Annet Mugisha. However, Annet Mugisha’s fate remain undecided due to a fact that the last election where she defeated Canon Mary Karooro Karooro Okurut was full of violence and mysterical incidences. This means madam Viana Kemigisha is also planting seeds on a fertile land.
3. Prosper Twebaze
Another uncertainity is beeing observed at the district top seat where a famous journalist Prosper Twebaze wants to battle Jaffari Basajjabalaba. On this seat we are waiting for the one who will play his cards well because all these are big names in Bushenyi.
We shall focus less on Igara East today until further notice because currently we still know usual faces current MP Hon Micheal Mawanda battling with Dan Mugura Karukiiko.
We shall bring you more about Bushenyi politics, just keep following us at www.theserverug.com.
END.
