BUSHENYI – Court in Bushenyi on Friday 18th October 2024 convicted and sentenced a pastor to Nyamushekyera prison for obtaining money from christians by false pretency.
Pastor Tibetegyeza Edson of Devine Ministries Bushenyi is accused for obtaining money worth shs 60million from christians around Greater Bushenyi.
Pastor Tibetegyeza Edson is a resident of Central cell, Central division, Bushenyi – Ishaka Municipality in Bushenyi district.
State Prosecutor Christine Nalumansi told court that there are over 30 complaints about Tibategyeza Edson .
Court presided over by His worship Halima Ahmed Omar sentenced him to six years in Nyamushekyera and ordered him to also pay back the money he obtained falsely from christians.
