NTUNGAMO,UGANDA – Ntungamo District has received 34 endorsement books to be distributed to all sub-counties and town councils for residents to endorse General Muhoozi Kainerugaba for the 2031 presidential elections and beyond.
The development was announced by the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) Coordinator for Ntungamo, Jonan Muhumuza, during an endorsement event held today at the Ntungamo District Council Hall.
Muhumuza said each of the district’s 34 sub-counties and town councils will receive an endorsement book.
The books are expected to be returned on 17th October 2026 during a PLU Baraza scheduled to take place in Rubaare Town Council, Rushenyi County.
He explained that Ntungamo was selected for the exercise because of its size and historical significance as the first district in the country, according to the PLU leadership.
The endorsement exercise is part of efforts by PLU supporters to mobilize backing for Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s reported presidential ambitions for 2031.
The development comes as political activities and mobilisation ahead of Uganda’s 2026 general elections continue, with supporters of different political actors conducting activities across the country.
