Ntungamo, Uganda – The South Ankole Diocesan Bishop, The Rt. Rev. Nathan Ahimbisibwe, has called on children to honor their mothers through respect, gratitude, and obedience as the world marked International Mother’s Day on Sunday.
Bishop Ahimbisibwe said honoring mothers means appreciating their sacrifices and valuing their guidance to the world. He made the remarks while preaching during a Sunday radio show in Ntungamo.
“The mother is the most influential person in the world who teaches, protects, disciplines, nurtures, advises, advocates, guides, warns, listens, comforts, hugs, soothes, treats bruises, nurses, and feeds,” he said.

The bishop asked children to always spare time to call, visit, and provide for their parents, stressing that such acts uphold the dignity of motherhood and strengthen family bonds.
