NATIONAL – The Judiciary has introduced a Judgment Writing Tool to help judges draft judgments more efficiently, tackling the persistent case backlog and delays in justice administration. Currently, judges spend over 70% of their time drafting judgments, contributing to unresolved cases and undermining access to timely justice.
The digital tool features structured templates and guided features to support judges in preparing well-reasoned judgments. It’ll also expand access to legal research materials, according to Ms. Caroline Obbo, Associate Researcher at the LexisNexis Rule of Law Foundation.
