NTUNGAMO, UGANDA – The Ntungamo District Education Officer, Ntare Dennis, has praised Standard College Ntungamo for initiating a peer-led judicial program aimed at promoting discipline and conflict resolution among students.
Addressing parents at the school’s PTA annual general meeting, Ntare emphasized the importance of parental involvement in instilling discipline in children and commended the school’s management for introducing the Student Court system.
The Student Court system allows students to judge their peers for minor offenses, promoting leadership, personal responsibility, and a sense of community. Head teacher Luyimbazi Boaz explained that this approach will empower students with confidence to resolve issues amicably, reducing the likelihood of indiscipline cases and school strikes.

Parents welcomed the initiative, with representative Naturinda Saviour Nalongo thanking the head teacher and staff for their efforts. She urged parents to monitor their children’s behavior during holidays, ensuring the program’s success.
