BUSHENYI, UGANDA – Bushenyi District Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the suspected murder of a male adult, identified as Chris, who is believed to have been killed by a mob in Katungu Cell, Ishaka division, Bushenyi district, on the night of November 20, 2025.
Police responded to the scene, managed it accordingly, and delivered the body to Kitagata hospital mortuary pending a post-mortem examination to establish the exact cause of death.
Preliminary findings indicate that Chris was a notorious organized criminal involved in multiple aggravated robberies, with 15 victims between July 2025 and October 2025, and was on the police wanted list.
“Investigations are ongoing to arrest those involved in the unlawful killing. The public is urged to come forward with information to assist police in the investigation. Updates will be provided as new developments emerge”, SP Apollo Tayebwa (Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson).
