Entebbe, Uganda – Lieutenant Colonel Sébastien Berger, France’s newly appointed defence attaché to Uganda, paid a courtesy visit to Chief of Defence Forces General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, aiming to enhance military cooperation between the two nations.
The meeting, held at the Special Forces Command headquarters in Entebbe, focused on bolstering training and regional security cooperation. General Muhoozi praised existing military links and pledged to advance mutual security interests, while the French officers reaffirmed their commitment to deepening the strategic partnership with the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF).
This visit follows a recent surge in Franco-Ugandan military engagement, including plans to expand cooperation in areas such as mountain warfare and French-language instruction for UPDF units.
