The Greater Bushenyi police region has launched an investigation into the suspected murder of Nuwagira Justus, 38, a resident of Akambugu trading center in Buhweju district.
According to reports, the deceased intercepted Nuwagira Rodgers, 35, with stolen bananas from his garden, leading to a violent altercation that resulted in Nuwagira Justus’s death.
The police visited the scene, recovered exhibits, and arrested the suspect. According to SP Tayebwa Apollo, Police Spokesperson for Greater Bushenyi region, investigations are ongoing, and a post-mortem examination report is pending to determine the exact cause of death.
“We strongly condemn lawlessness and pledge to give it the attention it deserves,” said SP Tayebwa Apollo. “Our investigations are still ongoing, and we shall keep the public updated.”
