Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services in Uganda (CoRSU) has launched its Annual CoRSU Walk under the theme “Bring Hope to Children with Disability.” Scheduled for October 5, the walk aims to raise Sh400 million for life-changing surgeries, medical equipment, and hospital renovations.
The launch event united key stakeholders, corporate partners, media, and community members in supporting disability inclusion and rehabilitative services for impoverished children. Bakidde Aloysius, Board Chairperson, highlighted last year’s success, where UGX 78 million was raised, enabling 16 children to receive life-changing surgeries.
Robert Ochai, CEO of CoRSU Walk, emphasized the importance of collaboration, stating that the walk demands action and investment to bridge the gap between despair and possibility. Since 2006, CoRSU Hospital has performed over 70,000 surgeries and rehabilitated 100,000 patients.
