BUHWEJU – Buhweju Community Transformation Initiative Limited has given more piglets to Various groups from different Sub Counties and Town Councils in the district.
Buhweju Community Transformation Initiative Ltd (BCTI) is a Wealth Initiated project founded by Mr Godfrey Byamukama Kereere Chief Real Economist Buhweju, his wife Oyes Annet Byamukama who acts as its Chairperson Gender Affairs and other Visionary members.
“By today, the group/project has atleast 38 members from all Sub Counties in Buhweju district”, Mr Kasangaki Evarist Project Manager Said.
The Project that was Initiated in 2022 has already transformer lives in the district and as of 2025, Various groups from 10 Sub Counties had already benefited by receiving piglets and other income generating ventures.
The project Manager Mr Kasangaki Evarist told our correspondent in Buhweju that each group receives Two piglets (male and female) so that they can ease the multiplication in numbers and increase on the income base.
Today Saturday 1st February 2025, groups from Bihanga Sub County, Nyakishana Sub County, Nsiika Town Council, Karungu Sub County, Bitsya Sub County and Kashenyi-Kajani Town Council received their two piglets per group.
The beneficaries included; Kanunka Tumayane, Kashenyi Farmers Savings and Credit, Nsiika VHT’s Association, Kasinde Bakyara Tukore Namaani and Bitsya Piggery groups.
The beneficaries received their piglets from the project’s hosting place in Butaare B Cell, Nsiika Town Council in Buhweju District.
The beneficaries who talked to our reporter were quoted saying “this is real Wealth Creation and we must utilize this opportunity to improve our living standards”.
Many others who never wanted their names to be mentioned told our correspondent that they are ready to support Oyes Annet Byamukama since they are informed that she is aspiring as Woman Member Of Parliament Buhweju District.
