SHEEMA – Two people have been arrested over suspected infacticide Case in Kamurinda Cell, Runyinya Parish, Kigarama Sub County in Sheema District.
The Suspects are; Ntoreine Reagan 19 years Father to the deceased and Ahimbisibwe Naboth all residents of Kamurinda Cell, Runyinya Parish in Kigarama Sub County, Sheema district.
The incident happened between the night of 31st January 2025 and 01st February 2025 at Unknown Time and the deceased is Natumanya Reagan 3 months a daughter to Namaganda Mariam.
Its alleged that Ntoreine Reagan quarreled with his wife Namaganda Mariam and the two fought, which forced the Woman to run away Leaving the 3 months Old baby in bed and went to a neighbour’s home where she spent the night, only to come back in the morning and he found the baby dead.
The Case was registered at Kigarama Police Post under sd 06/01/02/2025, scene visited and the Suspects were arrested to assist in police investigations. The Body was conveyed to Kabwohe Health Centre IV Mortuary pending postmortem.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Sopkesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirms the incident stressing that inquiries into the matter are still at hand
