BUSHENYI – Two people travelling on a motorcycle have escaped death narrowly after being knocked by tausi bus at Kanyandaro along Bushenyi – Ishaka road on Sunday 1st September 2024 afternoon.
The victims are Nassuna Shakira and Ainebyoona Ronald who were rushed to KIU Hospital Ishaka for treatment then the motorvehicle reg no UBG 354M Tausi Bus parked at Bushenyi CPS pending IOV inspection.
Its alleged that at around 1:30pm both the driver and the driver were heading the same direction from Bushenyi to Mbarara, then there was a fuso truck trying to dodge a pothole which forced the driver of the bus to avoid head on collision and ended up knocking the rider whom he was overtaking on the left.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirmed the incident to press mentioning the cause of the accident as reckless driving with police inquiries still at hand.
